Our Mission

HELPAGE DRC 'DRC HAP ' is the program of INTERNATIONAL HELPAGE in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2008 affiliated to the network of HELPAGE INTERNATIONAL at the regional office Africa zone Nairobi / Kenya; a UK law organization aiming to provide holistic assistance to the person.

In particular and in general the Congolese communities in order to transform the socio-economic environment and the well-being of the Congolese population By 2030, the DRC HELPAGE PROGRAM becomes an emerging organization which sets up a dynamic and a system of united actors committed to protecting the rights of elderly people and their dependents.

Mobilize the leaders and the different decision makers to establish a policy of good governance in favour of the elderly people and their dependents; Develop the self-empowerment spirit by promoting local entrepreneurial initiatives (micro-associations) within the households of elderly people and their dependents, including host communities; Carry out training and advocacy actions to promote the full development of people with specific needs in general, and particularly for older people and their dependents; Promoting positive moral values in Congolese society in favour of elderly people in any context.

The organs of HPC are: the Secondary school of the Founders, General meeting, Board of directors and the Direction Committee. The Secondary school of the Founders (CF) is constituted of the founder members of the HPC. He is the guarantor of the unit of the organization. He can take another mission given by General meeting or the Board of directors General meeting (GM) is the supreme organ of organisation’s decision. It is constituted all founder members, full members, honours members and sympathizing members. It is once called ordinarily a year. But in an emergency General meeting can be called in an extraordinary way. The Board of directors is the organ of monitoring and control of the execution of GM decisions. It is composed of two honours members, some representatives of founding members and three others elected by the Assembly General , according to modalities determined by the Regulations of Internal Order the oldest of which will be the President and the young one will make the Secretary. These last one will be backed up by a Vice-president, one accountant commissioner and three advisers. Members mandate is renewable after three years. Direction committee (DM) is the organ of execution of GM and BD decisions. It manages all humans financial and material resources of HPC, he is composed of one country representative, project leader, administration manager and finance director.
